Spring is just around the corner, which means downtown Towson is waking up from its winter slumber with lots of fun events. Soon, the windows will be open at Razorbacks and guests will flood patios around town, including the soon-to-open spaces at The Point and Café Troia.

All month long, local spots are hosting fun events, from St. Patrick’s Day parties to wine dinners to a kid-friendly fundraising walk. Here’s a look at how you can make the most of living in downtown Towson this month:

Fish & Chips Fridays
If you’re abstaining from meat on Fridays during Lent, Razorbacks has you covered: every Friday, the Dulaney Plaza restaurant will have fish and chips on the menu as a special.

St. Patrick’s Day Festivities
From March 12 through March 17, C&R will celebrate St. Patrick with deals on Guinness and Baltimore’s own Guinness Blonde, corned beef and cabbage and Reubens on the menu and more specials. On March 17, there will also be live music starting at 9 p.m.

CVP’s St. Pat’s celebration starts on March 13 and lasts through March 17; the pub will feature Irish fare on the menu plus drink specials.

The Point’s St. Pat’s celebrations will mostly happen over the weekend before the holiday (March 14-16). The York Rd. restaurant will have lots of food and drink special, including Irish Pancake shots and $3 Guinness.

Nacho Mama’s will celebrate St. Pat’s on the day itself (March 17) with $2 green Natty Bohs, $5 Car Bombs, Jameson shots and Shamrock Margs, $15 Shamrock hubcap margaritas, $3.50 Guinness cans and Reuben quesadillas on the menu.

Head to Towson Hot Bagel on St. Patrick’s Day for a special green bagel, available for one day only (but they are available for pre-order ahead of the big day).

Dinner Out
Towson restaurants are hosting a handful of terrific dinners this month.

March 14, Towson Tavern gets spooky with a Murder Mystery Dinner event with an ‘80s theme.

On March 19, Café Troia will hold a wine dinner showcasing the wines of Greece – a bit of a departure from the restaurant’s usual focus on Italian wines. The meal will include several Greek wines paired with dishes designed to highlight the similarities between Greek and Italian cuisines.

Also on March 19, the crew at Towson Tavern will be uncorking a few bottles of their own when the restaurant hosts a Roaring ‘20s wine dinner including a four-course meal plus dessert.

Opening Day
Oriole’s Opening Day is Thursday, March 26. If you can’t make it to the game, Nacho Mama’s has you covered with tons of specials, including $5 crushes and $1 Natty Boh drafts, plus jalapeno queso hot dog specials.

Addielicious Walk to Help at the Mall
On Saturday, March 28, head to Towson Towson Center for a fun, family-friendly one-mile walk inside the mall, to benefit the Stroup Kids for Kids Epilepsy Foundation. In addition to walking to raise money and awareness, the event will feature lots of kid-centric fun, like crafts, ice cream and face painting.

Breakfast with the Easter Bunny
Easter happens in mid-April this year, so it’s not too soon to start thinking about how to celebrate. The Point will get in on the bunny action early with a March 29 Breakfast with the Easter Bunny event. The ticketed breakfast will include a buffet plus crafts, candy-filled eggs and time with the bunny for kids.
